Split air conditioner is more advisable for big houses and not for buildings. It is more advisable to install split units in houses than in building for large structures may present problems when it comes to connecting the external and internal parts. In large buildings, pipes required in making connection may come not enough. To assure production of cool air to every room, extensive duct work has to be performed.

For homeowners with small houses, a ductless split air onditioning is a good choice. Ductless means lesser energy loss. This means, homeowners are able to save on energy cost. For apartments or single room offices, the small size of the split unit is a perfect fit. What makes it more advantageous is the easy installation compared to those with ducts. A smaller hole is only needed for it is to be connected to its indoor and outdoor components adding up to the fact of the absent duct.
